Go Furthr’s objective is to eliminate the stress of planning a road trip. The app creates curated road trips by incorporating basic necessities such as gas, lodging and food. The primary target audience are millennials between the ages of twenty and thirty, who take road trips within the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Market research indicated that people are taking roughly five road trips a year. There are many travel apps available, however few cater to users traveling by car. The 1970’s was the height of widespread popularity of road trip vacations in the United States. The app design was influenced by the nostalgia of 1970’s family road trips that millennials’ parents took as children. The 1970’s was the height in popularity of vacation road trips in the United States.

Today, millennials are attracted to traveling by car to save money. Many in this demographic choose to travel by car when relocating for college and jobs as well as vacationing with friends. At the start of each trip the user inputs the destination and time frame. A quick survey asks the user to answer a survey on how they plan to spend their budget on the trip and what type of route they wish to take. Additional search filters are used to suggest options that cater to the user’s needs when they stop along the route. It will also suggest unique attractions along the way discover and share on social media.
